WWLC History On October 2, 2002, the FCC granted a construction permit for a 70,000 watt FM station at 88.5 in Cross City. The FCC allows a maximum of 3 years to get the station built and on the air. WWLC is also looking to amend their original application so they can move our transmission tower slightly which would allow us to increase our tower to 500’ and raise power to 100,000 watts. Mar 2009-The FCC has rejected Spirit Radio of North Florida's petition for reconsideration of the denial of its proposed change of antenna height and transmitter location. The FCC found that the proposed facility would have created new interference with third-adjacent WUFT-FM 89.1. |
