Marc Ryan was born in Syracuse, NY in
1977 and spent time living in Houston, Texas, Fort Collins, Colorado, and
Lakeland, Florida as a youth. Marc knew he wanted to be a sportscaster
since the age of 11. Marc graduated from the University of Florida with a
degree in telecommunication in 2002. Marc was on the
field for 2 of Florida’s National Championship games (’96 and ’97)
as a trombone player for the “Pride of the Sunshine University of
Florida Fightin’ Gator Marching Band. "Prior to hosting
“The Sports Section” Marc served as host of “The Sunday Sports
Section” from 2005-2008, during which time that the program became the
longest running individually owned show in station history. Marc's
favorite sports teams are The Florida Gators, Orlando Magic, New York Yankees, and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Due to his love for
sports broadcasting, Marc is more star-struck when speaking to national
sports broadcasters than he is when speaking to professional athletes. |
