Mid-Florida Broadcasting, Inc., has filed with the Federal Communications Committee for a renewal of its operating Broadcast Station License for WAVP, Avon Park, Florida. The application for renewal of license was filed with the Commission on January 16. 1961. WAVP. Avon Park, Florida, operates on an assigned frequency of 1390  kilocycles. Officers and directors or other persons holding ten per cent or more of the capital stock or other ownership interests are: John C. Marshall, Frank A. Taylor, Werner Schoenberlein and Arthur Ray Thompson.

2020-Walco Enterprises LLC purchased the station and returned the call letters to WAVP. WAVP became part of Boss Hogg Radio..
