 Larry
was born in Washington, D.C., grew up in the Maryland suburbs and attended
Florida Southern College in Lakeland before graduating from the University of
Texas with a degree in Radio-TV-Film. Spillman
began his radio career at
Florida
News Network
affiliate WMMB-AM
1240,
Melbourne in 1978. Larry then went to work in Titusville and then made his way to another
FNN
affiliate,
WNDB-AM 1150
in Daytona Beach before arriving at the Florida News Network in 1983.
News director Spillman has been anchoring and reporting the news at the
Florida News Network for
over twenty five years. Larry
enjoys reporting on politics and hurricanes. He lives in Altamonte Springs with
his 18-year-old son Jonathan.
