WOTW History

12-15-14 JVC Media has closed on its $10 million purchase of WHKQ-FM 103.1 FM in Orlando. JVC will pay $8.75 million in cash, with Lindemann (TTB Media Corporation) holding a promissory note at a 5% interest rate for the balance. The sale marks Lindemann’s exit from radio ownership. Licensed to Windermere, 14 miles west of Orlando, the Class C covers the Orlando metro.
JVC Media has announced that it will be changing formats on Friday December 19th at 1:03PM. In order to provide a smooth transition to the current Hispanic audience, JVC has entered in a short term marketing agreement with Orlando’s iHeartMedia station WRUM-FM 100.3. WHKQ will broadcast the WRUM morning show from Tuesday through Thursday morning. The requested call letters are WOTW.
