WUNA History
When WVCF was sold in 1991, the city of license would be moved to Ocoee. The studios were moved to 749 S. Bluford Ave. The WVCF call letters were replaced with WUNA - that's UNA for No. 1, says general manager Juan Nieves. In the fall of 1991 WUNA became the fourth station serving Central Florida's Spanish-speaking population.  To reach the multinational Spanish-speaking population in Orlando, Nieves has built programming around news and music hits from not only Puerto Rico - the foundation, he says, of the region's other Spanish stations - but also from Mexico, Cuba and Latin America.
