WDYZ History JVC Media of Florida continues its rapid growth with the planned launch of the awesomely named “Florida Man Radio” on 660 AM and 105.5 FM, serving the fine citizens of Orlando. The platform for this new Talk format is WORL-AM/Altamonte Springs, FL and translator W288CJ (the former home of Conservative Talk The Answer), which JVC is acquiring from Salem Media Group. For its part, Salem has moved The Answer up the dial to 990.As part of the deal, JVC and Salem have also swapped call letters-660/105.5 Florida Man Radio-now WDYZ-will formally launch in early September 2019 with a live press conference from the JVC Orlando studios, hosted by the on-air staff: longtime Orlando talk legend Shannon Burke, the syndicated Bubba the Love Sponge Clem, radio veteran Scott Ledger and attorney Justin Clark. |
ESPN 660 Orlando 2-9-23 JVC Broadcasting announces the flip of WDYZ-AM 660, Orlando from a simulcast of its “Florida Man Radio” talk format to sports talk as “ESPN 660 – Orlando Sports Radio.” The station is airing ESPN Radio programming including “Keyshawn, JWill & Max” and “Greeny” in late mornings. It will also air sports play-by-play and the Daytona 500 on February 19. |
