WORL-AM 660 Adds Program Aimed Toward Women    10-2-06
Nyda Bittmann-Neville, president of TNB Consulting Group, Inc., Orlando, has joined WORL-AM 660 to host a show dedicated to the women's market. The show airs every Friday from 11am until noon.


Changes at "740 The Team"

WQTM-AM 740's program director and afternoon drive host Marc Daniels has been let go from the station. 

Carole Nelson Returns     10-6-06
Carole Nelson former WFTV and WDBO-TV news anchor as well as talk host on WKIS-AM 740 is returning to local radio. "Talk to Me with Carole Nelson" will air Sundays from 2 PM to 3 PM on WMEL-AM 920


Robyn Austin Returns To WLOQ

Smooth Jazz WLOQ-FM 103.1 is bringing back Robyn Austin as the replacement for morning show co-host Eileen Foster. Eileen is moving with her family to North Carolina. Austin has previously spent three years with WLOQ as night time host.


More On Marc Daniels

Looks like cost cutting is the reason Marc 'The Coach' Daniels has been let go after 17 years on Central Florida radio.
Chris Kampmeier, director of programming for Clear Channel's seven Central Florida stations, released this statement.
"This is a time of great change in our business and part of that change is that longtime WQTM Program Director and afternoon host, Marc 'The Coach' Daniels, will be leaving his position," he said. "In his role with 740 The Team, and as the voice of UCF Sports and the Orlando Predators, Marc made a major contribution to our enjoyment of local sports in Central Florida. We will miss his role on The Team. . . ."  Marc has a separate contract with UCF. 


World Series Baseball Broadcasts

If you are  a baseball fan and want to enjoy the World Series on radio WQTM-AM 740 will be carrying the series entire schedule.


More Clear Channel Cuts

Bethann Shaffer and Reagan Smith were let go from WFLF-AM 540 by Clear Channel in more cost cutting moves. Just a couple of weeks ago Marc Daniels and Steve Egan were cut loose from WQTM-AM 740 "The Team".


Steve Harvey Show Comes to "102 Jamz"

The Orlando Sentinel's Scott Maxwell reports "102 Jamz" WJHM-FM 101.9 will replace their morning show with the syndicated Steve Harvey Show beginning Monday, October, 30.
