Gina is a native Floridian. She was born and raised in Tallahassee, Florida, and attended Florida State University. While at
FSU, Gina was big in musical theater as a theater major. In an email from Gina she tells us;
"I started in radio at a tiny AM in Tallahassee...WTAL-AM 1450. (We prayed the checks were good...It was a mad race to the bank every two weeks to try and cash them.)
I've been at WDBO(-AM 580) since October of 1995. My Orlando radio career began at
WWNZ-AM 740 as a producer, then evening anchor.
I left that job to be morning news anchor on "K92FM" WWKA-FM 92.3 with
Ron Bisson and Frank the Janitor...and midday reporter/anchor on
WDBO. I also did some part time DJ work on "K92". The summer of 2000, I left "K92" to be full-time afternoon anchor on
WDBO. Early in 2004, after maternity leave, I returned to the early shift, producing and reporting for the morning show, and anchoring
middays.
2008-Gina left WDBO to be closer to family in Tallahassee.
Gina is now a Reporter/Host/Assignment Editor
at WFSU-FM in Tallahassee.
