WQMP History
WQMP began as WJHM in 1988.  
Feb 2014-After 26 years, 101.9 went from "Jamz" to 101.9 AMP Radio playing a
Top 40/CHR format. In Jan of 2016, WJHM changed its call letters to WQMP to match the "AMP Radio" branding.


Entercom Communications Launches "ALT 101.9 FM"     11-30-17
Entercom Communications Corp. announces the launch of "ALT 101.9 FM" (WQMP-FM 101.9), Orlando’s New Alternative. The station will provide music fans in Orlando with a true alternative through an expertly curated playlist with local, informed discovery including modern and mainstream alternative music and some classic alternative hits. The launch of ALT 101.9 FM comes shortly after Entercom’s transformational merger with CBS Radio and expands on the company’s position as the #1 creator of live, original local audio content in the United States.
