Al Spry Biography

Al
Spry was born in Brooklyn, New York. He
earned his A.A. in Radio
and Television Arts from Orange State and a B.A. in History from the
University at Albany. He began his broadcasting career in 1998,
and has served as a music announcer and promotions assistant with WHTQ-FM
96.5, WMMO-FM 98.9
and as a reporter and producer with WDBO-AM
580 in Orlando. Al is currently Director of Affiliate
Relations for the Florida
News Network, the Alabama
Radio Network, and the Virginia
News Network. He is also the Production Director for FNN,
and serves as the executive producer and co-host of "Florida
Roundtable." Al also serves as a host of the weekend
program, "Your Health Matters" heard on WFLF-AM
540 Saturdays at 4PM. Al and his wife Yvonne have resided
in the Orlando area since 1997. |
Real Radio Picks Up "Connections" 2-28-17 Orlando's WTKS-FM 104.1 adds the evening syndicated relationships show “CONNECTIONS” to its programming schedule. The program is hosted by Al “Blackjack” Spry, Glenda “G-Love” Chauncy, and Melissa Foxx. The creators are working with Sabo Media and J.M. Tillery & Associates, P.A. to syndicate on terrestrial FM stations in the top 50 U.S. markets by the end of 2017. |
