Bill Burgess Passes
  3-1-05
Bill Burgess long time sales manager of WFIV-AM 1080 in Kissimmee during the 1960s and 70s has died. Bill was Born in Johnson City, Tennessee. Bill took WHHL-AM 1190 from country to oldies and brought the oldies to Sanford's WTRR-AM 1400 and WUEZ-AM 1400. Bill was an Air Force Veteran, and an avid fisherman.

WDBO-AM 580 reporter Kelly Golden discovered the body of a woman after she received a tip from a transient who lives in a tent near where the body was found in a parking lot off North Orange Blossom Trail.
 


Garabo Returns  3-18-05
Drew Garabo returns to the Orlando airwaves. Drew hosted the PM drive Friday (3-18-05) on "O-Rock 105.9", WOCL-FM 105.9. Drew will be handling weekends and fill ins.


WDBO-AM Takes Honors    3-26-05
WDBO-AM 580 was named the News-Talk Station of the Year by Radio and Records Magazine.  WDBO won for stations 26 and smaller, beating five other stations in the category.  Sean Hannity, carried in Orlando by WDBO,  won  the Syndicated News-Talk Personality of the Year.
