Bethune aka Super Dave Logan
Passes 2-2-21 Back in 2014 former WDAT-AM 1380 personality, Super Dave Logan, checked in and let us know where he was now. "...After working in the Daytona Beach area for almost 10 years, most of it with WDAT/WELE 1380AM… I moved to Ft. Myers and worked for 20 years as Super Dave Logan for Cat Country 107.1, now owned by Clear Channel. During my time there I was the Promotions Manager, Assistant Program Director and did several air shifts including middays and afternoons. I was laid off in 2011, rehired by Clear Channel in Panama City, but left there because I missed my Southwest Florida home. Dave passed away yesterday at the age of 62. In Memory |

WSIR Goes Silent 2-3-21 WSIR-AM 1490 Winter Haven, is silent as they prepare for the sale of the station. Back in December of 2020 the City of Winter Haven paid $304,500 for the land, building and tower of WSIR. The city has plans to expand Lake Howard Nature Park and build additional stormwater improvements in the park. The frequency has been sold. |
