Obie Diaz and Ashley Morrison, WWKA-FM 92.3 morning team have been nominated for the 2022 Marconi Award as the large market Personalities of the year. WOEX-FM 96.5 has been nominated in the Spanish Language Station of the Year category.

New Format For WPGS      7-26-22
Thanks to Dave Grubbs for letting us know that WPGS-AM 840 is no longer playing Classic Rock. Apparently, they have flipped to Spanish language programming. 

Swap and Sale           7-28-22
RDA Broadcast Holdings, LLC is swapping "Gold FM 99.7"  WGMA-FM 99.7 for Central Florida Educational Foundation, Inc's WMYZ-HD3  (with an LMA before closing). Ricardo Arroyo
is going to sell the simulcast station WGMW-FM 99.5 to the Central Florida Educational Foundation, Inc's for $400,000 plus an LMA before closing.

The Wolf To Quit Howling?      7-28-22
Lance Venta at Radio Insight reported WOTW-FM 103.1 will drop the country format. According to him "JVC applied today (Jul 25) to change WOTW’s call letters to WFYY on August 1.

New Format For WPGS      7-31-22
Thanks to Leo Vargas for this news. WPGS-AM 840 i
s now "Promesa 840" (translated "Promise 840") and plays Spanish-language Christian music. Everything from the previous "Classic Rock/Local 840" format is now online only. 

Familiar Voices Join WDBO       7-31-22
Leo Vargas, one of the most recognized voices in the Hispanic radio industry, has joined WDBO-AM 580/107.3 FM as a reporter/anchor. Jay Edwards (who was on WOMX-FM 105.1 for 24 years) has also joined WDBO.

WOTS Flips Back      7-31-22
WOTS-AM 1220  is no longer broadcasting Ray Cruz's "Noticias Generacion News" and has reverted back to the previous "La Primera" format while also simulcasting WPRD-AM 1440 and WUNA-AM 1480 during certain hours. Thanks to

The WOLF Has Left The Building     7-29-22
The Wolf, WOTW-FM 103.1 is no more. WFYY-FM 103.1 will be the new call letters the new format will be Electronic Dance. 
The format is Rhythmic CHR.
