OK 93.5 Gets New Owners 8-4-19 Regional Mexican formatted W228DF-FM 93.5 aka "Ok 93.5" which is broadcast on JVC owned WOTW-FM 103.1 HD3 has been purchased by CFL Broadcasting Network led by Javier Sanchez. The sale price is $400,000. |
WAJD Gets Fined 8-5-19 WAJD-AM 1390/98.9 FM owned by Gillen Broadcasting was fined by the FCC after it found the station was running its 5,000 watt daytime power at night. It's licensed nighttime power is 51 watts. |
The Word Moves Up The Dial 8-5-19 Salem Media has moved their Religious formatted station WTLN-AM 950 to the 50,000 watt WDYZ-AM 990 position. Salem has applied to swap the call letters. |

The End Of An Era 8-15-19 Gene Martin is ending his show after 27 years on Central Florida airwaves. The show recently has been heard on WMFV-FM 89.5 from 10AM-Noon will end on Aug. 30 as his contract runs out. Gene began his show on WRZN-AM 720 in March of 1992, where he spent 19 years. Then Gene moved his show to WDLN-FM 104.9 in Dunnellon. He then moved to "The Boulevard" WKSG-FM 89.5 in 2014. WKSG became WMFV after the sale of the station in 2018. |
