Blosé Gone From WNDB 3-4-13 Morning host at WNDB-AM 1150, Greg Blosé has left the station. Greg has taken a position with the Florida Chamber of Commerce. Al Smith has taken the main chair along side of Dave Laing. |
Who's On First... 3-4-13 Thanks to Bill Watson for the following info on the MARC stations in the Gainesville area. WKZY-FM 106.9 is now WPLL-FM 106.9 "The Pulse" simulcasting the Contemporary Christian format. WPLL-FM 101.7 has taken back the WDVH call letters and is a simulcast of 106.9 (from the same tower!). WAJD-AM 1390 is now "Your Liberal Talk Station". |
Salem Brings WTLN Signal To West Volusia 3-6-13 Pennsylvania Media Associates, Inc. has closed on the purchase of FM translator W288BI in Deltona. Reach Communications, Inc. was the seller. Salem made the purchase for $50,000 and will rebroadcast WTLN-AM 950. |

Storm Takes WMEL Off The Air 3-25-13 The storms that passed through Central Florida yesterday, knocked down a 200 foot tall tower and the winds also took part of the roof off the station at WMEL-AM 1300 in Cocoa. Power surges also ruined the transmitter. |
WLQH Purchases FM Translator 3-26-13 Suncoast Radio, Inc has purchased an FM translator from Reach Communications. The translator is located in Newberry. The sale price was $20,000. Suncoast will be re-broadcasting The True Oldies heard on WLQH-AM 940 and WZCC-AM 1240. |
The KRO Moves Up The Coast 3-26-13 WKRO-FM 93.1 has been re-branded by owners Southern Stone Communications of Florida, LLC as “Coast Country 93.1". The city-of-license has changed from Edgewater to Port Orange. Other changes include an expanded morning show staff with Gerry McCracken and Michelle McCoy (who came over from WHKR-FM 102.7) joining Program Director "Kingbird". |
