Happy Anniversary To Us!      8-4-22
As we begin our ninetenth year on the Internet, I'd like to say thank you to all the folks that have made the site what it is. As always thanks goes to my wife, Wilma, the inspiration and love of my life. Thanks to all the people who have supplied info, bios, photos and sounds and have helped in other ways with this endeavor. I believe radio is such an essential part of our lives and it should be remembered. I hope we are contributing to that in some way. More to come...stay tuned.  

Dana Moves Across Town     8-9-22
"The Dana Show" is moving from WDBO-AM 580/107.3 FM to WFLA-AM 540/93.1 FM. Dana will be heard on the iHeart station from 7PM-10PM.

Mario Cesar Piña Passes      8-10-22
Thanks to Leo Vargas for letting us know of the passing of Mario Piña, host of the sports show "La Parada Deportiva", which aired on WPRD-AM 1440 ("La Voz") and WUOH ("Mas") 100.7 FM has passed away last month.

After the flip of WOTW-FM 103.1, from Country to Rhythmic CHR, Susie Korgul's morning co-host position was eliminated.

Who are these fellows. Apparently the photo was taken sometime in the 1950s. The station was WORZ-AM 740. No prize, but you will receive a hardy congratulations. Any other info about these two would be appreciated as well.

Staff Announced At "The Fly"     8-25-22
JVC Top 40/Rhythmic WFYY-FM 103.1 "The New FLY 103.1" has set August 29 as the date they'll roll out their new airstaff. Lil' Shawn and Carla will make up "The Fly Morning Wakeup" weekdays from 6AM-10AM. Carla sticks around from 10AM-Noon. Market vet Murph Dawg does Noon-4PM. Ricky Padilla and DJ Nasty team for 4PM-8PM and "Nights with Nailz" goes from 8PM-Midnight.

Cox Media Group announced Jason Meder, Vice President & Market Manager of CMG Radio in Orlando, has been named the Vice President & Market Manager of CMG Radio in Tampa. Meder will oversee all of CMG’s radio stations in the market. Meder joined CMG 20 years ago as a media consultant for CMG Tampa. His hard work and leadership earned him key roles as General Sales Manager, Director of Sales, General Manager, and most recently Vice President & Market Manager for CMG’s Orlando Radio market. He succeeds Keith Lawless, who will be departing CMG at the end of the month to spend more time with his family.
