The morning team on WWKA-FM 92.3,  Obie and Ashley have been nominated for the Country Music Association Awards Large Market Personalities as well as the station WWKA itself as a nominee for Large Market Station of the Year.

Orlando legend Bill Barber celebrates his 69th tomorrow. 

New Host At Z88.3       9-8-20
WPOZ-FM 88.3 "Z88.3" welcomes Denise Pagano as Midday Host. She will be replacing Carol Ellingson who has transitioned into a position with Christian Music Broadcasters to spend more time with family.


Alan Baxter Passes      9-9-20
Thanks to Tom Kopacz for passing along some sad news. Alan Baxter died Aug. 27 in Fredericksburg, Virginia. Alan had been diagnosed with advanced pancreatic cancer and that rather than put off the inevitable, he had decided to leave us on his own terms. Alan announced his decision on his Facebook page. Alan's son has a Facebook fund raiser page here.

Big Changes For Orlando Magic      9-9-20
The pandemic has brought major financial strain to the Orlando Magic basketball team. Next season the Magic will simulcast their radio and television game broadcasts. Dennis Neumann and Richie Abato have received their notices that their contracts are not being renewed. WYGM-AM 740/96.9 FM is the flagship radio station for the Magic. Joey Colón, the Spanish language play-by-play announcer heard on WNUE-FM 98.1 has also been released.

Changes At Entercom Stations     9-15-20
Matthew Malone, Program Director has left the mornings. Assistant Program Director/Music Director/Midday host "Mel" (Melissa Leigh-Sorrentino) also at WQMP moves to sister station WOCL-FM 105.9 replacing Grace (Vasquez). 


More Changes At WQMP       9-17-20
WQMP-FM 101.9 has gotten a new pair in the morning. Cane Peterson and Corey B, "Cane & Corey" will be waking you up, replacing Matt Malone who has left the on air duties to concentrate on his Program Director position. Nicole Alvarez has taken middays replacing Mel.


WPCV Morning Man On The Move      9-18-20
WPCV-FM 97.5, 15 year veteran, Roger Todd has left the station. He and his wife Jan are relocating to Knoxville, TN. The morning show will continue with the duo of  Julie K and Dale Roberts (a.k.a. DJ Thee Trucker).


Mark McKay Has Left the Building     9-20-20
WHHZ-FM 100.5 Operations Manager/Program Director Kevin McKay (Kevin Mangan) has accepted a position as Public Information Officer for City of High Springs Government/Fire Department. Kevin will continue to oversee the programming and branding of 100.5 The Buzz and sister WXJZ-FM 100.9   in a part-time capacity. 


New Morning Team For WOEX      9-28-20     
Cox Media Group Orlando has named Epi Colon and Bebo Adames, longtime personalities in the Orlando market, to host mornings on WOEX-FM 96.5 The show "Epi & Bebo In The Morning" on "Exitos 96.5" will broadcast weekdays from 6-10am.


WQMP Picks Up Sunday Show      9-28-20
Listeners to WQMP-FM 101.9, "Orlando's New Alternative" can enjoy a new show on Sunday. Scott Lowe's Sunday morning specialty show "Postmodern" which features Alternative classics from the 80s and 90s.
