April 23, 1977 Towers to put WOKB on air around clock The four 385-foot broadcasting towers going up In west Orange County will make WOKB AM the state's first 24-hour black station, according to Art Selley, general manager. WOKB AM was Florida's first radio station to program to the black community when It began 19 years ago, Selley said Friday. |
