Latin Jazz Comes To WUCF     10-1-19
WUCF-FM 89.9 HD2 Latin Jazz will provide full-time Latin flavored easy listening. The station will feature local personality Alex Diaz guiding listeners through a mix of songs including those from Poncho Sanchez, Tito Puente, Celia Cruz, and Cal Tjader. Diaz will also host his own Latin Jazz themed show playing a blend of classic Latin Jazz hits and the best of modern releases each week on 89.9 Jazz & More’s main station Sundays from 4PM to 7PM. Listeners can stream the station from anywhere at https://www.wucf.org/listen/.

On The Move       10-2-19
Bud-FM formerly known as Bud 94.1 "King of Rock" has moved solely to WOTW-HD2. Clear Channel has added the rebroadcast of "WFLA Orlando" (WFLF-AM 540/93.1FM/94.1FM/107.7HD 3) to cover the suburbs north of Orlando.

Marc Bernier's Daytona State College Speakers Series        10-10-19
With growing concern surrounding  facts relating to sharks  off our coast, and separately, the quality of the water in the Indian river, The Daytona State Speakers Series will convene a panel discussion with experts on the future of both will take place on Wed., Oct. 16. The series is moderated by WNDB's Marc Bernier. The 80 minute session with include Q&A from an audience of students and the general public. Doors open at 6pm at News Journal Center, admission is free and open to everyone. 

Pastor/Radio Host Arrested    10-10-19
One of  the co-hosts of  the radio show “Friends Talking Faith”,  Rev. Bryan Fulwider heard weekly on WMFE-FM 90.7 and WMFV-FM 89.5 has been arrested after a woman reported being sexually battered numerous times by Fulwider. The accuser was 14 in 2005 when the abuse began, until 2010.

WAJD Flips From Smooth Jazz           10-16-19
"Smooth Jazz 1390 WAJD/98.9" (WAJD-AM 1390/98.8 FM) in Gainesville is becoming "99 Jamz". "The Steve Harvey Morning Show" has been added to the new Urban format. 

WDVH Celebrates Birthday With Format Flip        10-18-19
WDVH-AM 980/94.1 FM took to the air on Oct. 18, 1954. Most of the past 65 years they played country music. As of today the owner, Marc Radio, has flipped the station to R&B Oldies as "R&B 94.1". They will feature R&B hits from the '70s, '80s and '90s. 

Changes At K92     10-25-19
Cox Media Group Orlando has named "Slater" (Michael Wheaton) afternoon host on WWKA-FM 92.3. Slater, who was recently morning Co-host/Producer of the Obie & Ashley Morning show, began hosting from 3PM-7PM yesterday. Additionally, Melissa Quinones has been elevated from part-time night host to full-time midday host from 10AM-3PM. Macie Banks will be hosting nights on WWKA based out of Cox Media Group Athens, GA. Banks currently hosts mornings on WNGC and will add the night show responsibilities, working the mic weeknights 7PM-Midnight.

Florida Man Radio Adds "The Chris Hahn Show"      10-26-19
"The Aggressive Progressive", Chris Hahn, will be joining the line-up on Florida Man Radio WDYZ-AM 660/105.5 FM.

DSC Speaker Series      10-26-19
WNDB-AM 1150/95.3 FM's Marc Bernier will host a discussion on private and national security at Daytona State Coillege. The program will take place Wednesday night November 6th at 7PM. Doors open at 6. Marc's guests will be Dr. Philip Craiger, Heidi Pinney, Paul Wheeler and Patrick Vilkinofsky. It’s free and open to the public at the L. Gale Lemerand  Student Center at Daytona State College, 1200 W International Speedway Blvd.

Accused Pastor/Radio Host Found Dead      10-29-19
Rev. Bryan Fulwider “Friends Talking Faith” co-host who was arrested after a woman reported being sexually battered numerous times by him, has been found dead in his apartment in Altamonte Springs.
