Another Sunshine State Resident Heads North    10-2-11
The Vice President of Programming for Genesis Communications I Orlando and Tampa stations, Allen Davis, is headed to the cold climate of  Buffalo, NY. There he will join Entercom owned WGR-AM 550 as Program Director.

Shannon Burke Replaced By Todd Schnitt      10-3-11 
With Shannon Burke leaving for RadioIO, WEUS-AM 810 has picked up Todd Schnitt. Schnitt will be carried live from 3PM-6PM, Mon-Fri.  

Changes At WDVH    10-3-11 
WDVH-AM 980 has joined the ranks of talk stations, dropping the Classic Country format. Jim Brand begins the day at 5AM and will be hosting "Swap Shop" each morning from 7AM-9AM. "Swap Shop" will be followed by Mike Gallagher live from 9AM-Noon, Lou Dobbs from 2PM-5PM. WDVH-FM 101.7 will simulcast the AM programming until 9AM, when the FM will return to Classic Country.

Gene Burns Honored   10-3-11
Gene Burns Central Florida Radio legend will be honored by Momentum for Mental Health on November 17. Gene is being honored as the 2011 Shining Stars Award of Excellence winner. 

More Baseball      10-4-11 
MLB playoffs can be heard on WHOO-AM 1080. Wed, 10/5, Phillies at Cardinals at 5:30PM. The Brewers at Arizona begins at 9PM. Thurs., 10/6, Rays at Rangers 4:30PM and Tigers at Yankees at 8PM.  On Friday, 10/7, Braves at Brewers at 4:30PM
needed Cardinals at Phillies 8PM.

WPOZ-FM 88.3 comes in at #1 for the third month in a row in the latest ratings. They are followed by WXXL-FM 106.7, WOCL-FM 105.9, and tied for fourth WOMX-FM 105.1 and WMMO-FM 98.9

WTKS-FM 104.1 Creative Services Director, Dan Stone has taken the same position at Washington, D.C.'s WWDC-FM 101.1. Dan joins the sister Clear Channel Modern Rock station.

Familiar Voices Return    10-27-11

John Hamilton at WEUS-AM 810 has announced beginning on Friday, Oct. 28, talk show host Don Miller goes on an extended hiatus; hopefully Don will return later in the year. In the mean time, Doc Holliday will chair the 6PM-7PM slot on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday…Doc will fill the 5PM-7PM slot Fridays and Mondays. Another familiar voice joins "Orlando's Real Talk". Alan Spector will be handling AM and PM drive time newscasts. 

A Full Hour Of News   10-28-11
News Talk WDBO, WDBO-AM 580/WDBO-FM 96.5 now has a full 1 hour newscast nightly at 6PM. Michael Savage as been moved to the 10PM-1AM slot.

Clear Channel Names New Market Manager 10-29-11
Keriann Worley has been named Market Manager for the Melbourne cluster as well as the stations in the Keys. Worley replaces Katerina Perez who left for the Norfolk cluster in Sept. 

WRZN Turns To Talk    10-31-11
Talk has come to WRZN-AM 720. The format is a simulcast of WDVH-AM 980

Country Legends Gone From WDVH-FM    10-31-11
Marc Radio, the new owners of WDVH-FM 101.7 have dropped the Country Legends format as well as the call letters, for Contemporary Christian Music. The station is now known as WPLL-FM 101.7, "The Pulse".
