Florida Man Radio Expanding        11-5-19
JVC Media of Florida announces the first radio affiliate of Orlando’s Florida Man Radio.  Building on the rapid success and overwhelming positive response from listeners and clients for Florida Man Radio, WDYZ-AM 660/105.5 FM, Florida Man Radio will begin broadcasting on WYGC-FM 104.9 serving the Gainesville  and North Central Florida area on Monday November 11th, 2019.  This is the first of many stations in the state of Florida that JVC will be targeting for affiliation.  Florida Man Radio debuted in September anchored by long-time Orlando talk legend Shannon Burke, the nationally syndicated Bubba the Love Sponge Clem, radio veteran Scott Ledger, American journalist, author, and former television host Bill O’Reilly, and Attorney Justin Clark.

Ed Tyll Returns       11-5-19
JVC’s Executive Vice President Shane Reeve announced “The Ed Tyll Show” has joined Florida Man Radio, WDYZ-AM 660/105.5 FM. Ed Tyll was a host at WTKS-FM 104.1 and WEUS-AM 810. Ed's show will air weekdays from Noon-2PM. 

SOLD: WBZW       11-6-19              
Orlando Radio Marketing Inc. is purchasing WBZW-AM 1520/100.7-FM in Apopka. The seller is Salem Media Group, the price is $185,000. The sale includes the Construction Permit for translator W264DU-100.7-FM.

Stevie DeMann Joins JVC       11-15-19 
Stevie DeMann has been named JVC’s Director of Programming for their growing collection of Florida radio stations. DeMann, with a successful career in cities including Baltimore, Orlando, Boston, and most recently serving as Operations Manager for Cox Media Orlando, will oversee 103.1 The Wolf (WOTW-FM 103.1) Orlando), Florida Man Radio 660AM/105.5FM (WDYZ-AM 660/105.5 FM Orlando / WYGC-FM 104.9 Gainesville), Bud FM (WOTW-HD2 Orlando),  Q92.9  (WMFQ-FM 92.9 Ocala), US102.3 (WXUS-FM 102.3 Ocala), and Y100.1 (WXUS-HD2 Ocala) beginning November 25th. 

Moira Seeking Political Office     11-20-19
Lynn “Moira” Dictor has thrown her "hat into the ring" as a candidate for Seminole County Tax Collector. Dictor, a radio-talk show personality known to Central Florida listeners as Moira from her 20-year stint on the Philips Phile on Real Radio 104.1 (WTKS-FM 104.1) in Orlando, is one of four candidates, two Democrats and two Republicans, seeking to challenge Seminole County Tax Collector Joel Greenberg in the 2020 elections. Dictor is one of the Democrats. Dictor, 59, of Lake Mary, also has been a news reporter and anchor, news director, and talk show host. She is a 2019 recipient of the Harvey Milk ally award from The LGBTQ Center, and is on the board of directors of A Gift for Teaching. She’s also served as president o the Congregation of Reform Judaism.

New Head At WMFE/WMFV      11-22-19
The board of trustees of WMFE-FM 90.7 Orlando and WMFV-FM 89.5 Gainesville-Ocala has appointed Erika Pulley-Hayes as President and CEO, effective January 13. She succeeds LaFontaine E. Oliver, who departed in July to lead NPR member station WYPR/Baltimore. 

Christmas Comes To Orlando Radio         11-23-19
WMGF-FM 107.7 is the first station to go all "Holiday" music for 2019.

More Christmas Music        11-27-19
Joining the "Holiday Music" bandwagon is WLRQ-FM 99.3. Beginning Friday, WPOZ-FM 88.3, WMYZ-FM 88.7 will begin paying Christmas music on Friday.

Celebrating this week are; WXXL-FM 106.7 Morning Show host Johnny Magic turns 56 tomorrow and on Saturday, WNDB-AM 1150/93.5 FM's Marc Bernier turns 64. Happy birthday to you both.
WKTK Joins The Holiday Music Bandwagon      11-28-19
