Country Fresh Radio Coming Soon 3-3-26 JVC Broadcasting has announced “a new, nationally syndicated Country radio show designed to spotlight brand-new releases from both established country superstars and emerging artists ready for broader exposure.” The new show will be "Country Fresh Radio". The two-hour program will air weekly with hosts, JVC veterans Murphdawg and Phathead. CFR will air in Central Florida on WXUS-FM 102.3 Ocala and WYGC-FM 100.9, Gainesville. |

Steve Biddle Passes 3-14-26 Steve Biddle aka Steve Craig. aged 71, died March 10, 2026 in High Point, North Carolina. Steve worked at many CFL Radio stations including; WKIS-AM 740, WDBO-AM 580, WBJW-FM 105.1, WCKS-FM 101.1, WLOF-AM 950, WMJF-AM 1450, WDIZ-FM 100.3, WMFE-FM 90.7 and WVTI-FM 107.1 |

Movin' On Up 3-18-26 Audacy has announced WOMX-FM 105.1's CJ Robinson will have an expanded role with the company. As Brand Manager he will add content strategy, talent and operations. He will continue in his role as co-host of “MIX Mornings with CJ & Jenn” weekday mornings. CJ also host afternoons on WMXJ-FM 102.7 in Miami and mornings on CHANNEL Q in Miami. |

Medallas de Cortez Nominees Announced 3-24-26 The Medallas de Cortez awards recognize excellence in Hispanic radio programming, sales, and management, named in honor of Raoul Cortez, who founded the first Spanish-language radio station in San Antonio in 1946. This year’s awards will be presented at the 17th Hispanic Radio Conference, May 27th and 28th in Phoenix. Central Florida nominees include; Salesperson of the Year: Marisol Otero-Spanish Broadcasting System, Ruthie Sanchez, Cox Media Group. Personality of the Year: Liliani Hernandez, WOEX-FM 96.5. Program Director of the Year: Raymond Hernandez at WOEX-FM 96.5. Sales Manager of the Year: Normand Levy, Cox Media Group and Anibal Soto, Spanish Broadcasting System. WELE Still On Reduced Power 3-30-26 Bethune-Cookman University licensee of WELE-AM 1380 has requested a six-month extension of its Special Temporary Authority to operate with reduced power. WELE has been operating with a nighttime reduced power (1000 watts) while BCU works to repair damage to the station’s towers caused by high winds. |
