Russ Rollins and iHeart Media Named In Lawsuit 6-5-15 Russ Rollins, host of WTKS-FM 104.1 "Monsters In The Morning", estranged wife, Samantha Boomer has hired prominent women's' rights attorney Gloria Allred and filed a law suit in Orange County. The suit alleges defamation and invasion of privacy. Rollins' lawyer, Jonathan Hanken said "We have a real concern that iHeart Media, despite the success of the show may take action that could cause Russ to lose his job or be moved to a less-favorable time slot." WTKS had no comment. |
JVC Names Director of New Business Development 6-9-15 JVC Media, announces the addition of Lisa Sirotka-Sonnenlar as Director of New Business Development for the company. Lisa is the former President, CEO and founder of McGavren Guild Radio Sales in New York. Starting in 2008, Lisa built the company from the ground into one of the leading small to mid-market national rep firms in the business. At its peak she managed over 1500 radio stations, and 50 employees across 15 markets in the entire U.S., responsible for over $70 Million in national radio sales. |
Panel Discussion To Air On Two Cox Media Stations 6-10-15 WDBO-FM 96.5's Joe Kelley and WCFB-FM 94.5's Monica May will be co-hosts for a discussion about use of excessive force in law enforcement, which are making headlines nationwide, and how it pertains to Central Florida. The panel will consist of local police chiefs, former judges, and others who will talk about what law enforcement is doing in the area, and answer questions from concerned citizens. The event will take place tonight at 7PM and will be streamed live on both Cox Media Orlando stations. |

Logas In For Bud Tomorrow 6-25-15 Former Attorney General Bill McCollum will be joining Mark tomorrow morning during the 8 o'clock hour to talk about the U.S. Supreme Court ruling regarding ObamaCare. In the 7 o'clock hour, Mark speaks with Justice and Barbara Frazier, an African -American couple, about their decision to take a huge leap of faith by retiring from their career jobs and opening their own school. Their school will give children a strong faith-based education that will also focus on leadership training in areas of math and science. They will share their views on South Carolina, race in America, and Barbara's involvement in the Orange County Republican Party as a Conservative. Finally, Mark showed some high school students pictures of Benjamin Franklin and Martin Luther King, Jr. and asked them to identify the men in the pictures. Their answers may surprise you.
