New Morning Show On WNUE 9-5-18 WNUE-FM 98.1 has begun airing a new morning show called "Él y Ella" from 6AM-10AM. The program is hosted by Arnaldo Olivieri "JR el Aire" and Jessica Reyes. The morning show hosts were married for 14 years, have been divorced five-and are back together to share their “uncoupled conversations” on the new program. |

Bill Gable Passes 9-20-18 Bill Gable, who in April of 2014 retired after a 46 year career has died from complications of COPD. He passed on Tuesday, Sep 18 in Windsor, Ontario Canada. In 1986 Bill, along with Frank Reed helped launch WOCL-FM 105.9, first known as WMGG-FM 105.9. The WMGG calls were used to keep the new format and slogan ("Class 105.9") American Media was about to debut a secret. Bill was Program Director as well as doing morning drive. In 1994 Bill would move to WMMO-FM 98.9 doing mornings for Granum Communications. Then in 2001 Bill would move to WLOQ-FM 103.1 and continue morning drive for Gross Communications Corp. Bill began his radio career as a teenager in Allen town, PA. In the 1970s he worked at CKLW which was located n Windsor, Ontario, Canada, serving Windsor and Detroit. He retired in 2014 from his last stop at CFZM-AM 740. In Memory |

Congratulations! 9-28-18 Congratulations go to WDBO-FM 96.5 as winners of the Marconi Award for Large Market Station of the Year and to Morning host Joe Kelley the winner of the Large Market Personality of the Year. The awards were established in 1989 and named after inventor and Nobel Prize winner Guglielmo Marconi, the NAB Marconi Radio Awards are given to radio stations and outstanding on-air personalities to recognize excellence in radio. Marconi finalists were selected by a task force of broadcasters, and the winners were voted on by the NAB Marconi Radio Awards Selection Academy. |
