ESPN Radio Coming To Melbourne
WINT-AM 1560 is dropping "Scott Shannon's True Oldies" and will become ESPN Radio on Monday, October 6.

Movin' On Up
Scott Schau has been promoted to Director of Sales for Clear Channel/Melbourne. Scott will now oversee sales departments for WMMB-AM 1240, WLRQ-FM 99.3 and WBVD-FM 95.1. Scott is a nine year company veteran and most recently served as Sales Manager for the Total Traffic Network in Jacksonville. Prior to joining Clear Channel Scott was Sales Manager at 
WGNE-FM 98.1

WNDB-AM 1150's Mark Bernier Show producer Phil Kincaid (also known as "Dr. Phil") celebrates his 32nd birthday on Sunday, October 12. Happy Birthday, Phil.

Movin' On Up
Cox Radio has appointed Shane Reeve as General Sales Manager of WHTQ-FM 96.5. Shane had been the Local Sales Manager at WMMO-FM 98.9.

WHTQ-FM 96.5's Alan Spector is celebrating his 55th Birthday today. And on Saturday, Sirius XM Radio's Chris Russo, who began his career at WKIS-AM 740, will turn 49 on Saturday. One we missed; Michelle "Court" Betancourt from Clear Channel's Total Traffic Network celebrated her birthday on Oct 14. Happy birthday to all of you!  Congratulations also goes to Michelle on her marriage to Brandon Lugo on Sept 20.

Movin' Over
The morning crew at WPCV-FM 97.5 has a new member. Melissa Moran, former midday host at WFLZ-FM 93.3, Tampa joins Roger Todd and Tom O'Brien on the morning show.

Good News and Bad News
First the good news. WSBH-FM 98.5 "The Beach" is now streaming their broadcast online. Now the bad news. Flagler Beach's WFBO-FM 97.7 will be leaving the air on Nov. 4, 2008 after a six year run.

A Milestone For Scott and Erica
Congratulations to WOMX-FM 105.1's Scott McKenzie and Erica Lee on the celebration of their 18 years together on Orlando's airwaves. We've added a short bio of the duo. 

Cumulus Lay Offs 
WAOA-FM 107.1 has sent Program Director, Tony Banks packing along with fourteen year veteran Midday host/Imaging Director Bill Robbins. Over at WHKR-FM 102.7, Denny Stone has left the building.

WELE-AM Under Police Investigation  
In reports from the Daytona Beach News-Journal and Local 6-WKMG-TV, WELE-AM 1380 is under investigation by the Ormond Beach Police Department. Police are investigating recent complaints since the Premier Travel Show had been cancelled. The News-Journal is reporting that WELE shut down it's offices and call center. Doug Wilhite, President of Wings Communications, was quoted in the News-Journal article as saying "We will keep the radio side of the business open as long as we can." Wilhite also told the News-Journal that everything he owns has either been put up for sale or taken back by banks. 

Canada Calling Returns To Central Florida Airwaves
Canada Calling launches its winter 2008-09 season Monday, November 3. The program celebrates 55 years this year and airs in Florida from November to April. In Central Florida the program is carried by WLBE-AM 790WSBB-AM 1230WROD-AM 1340 and WMEL-AM 1300.
