Prayers and Positive Thoughts Go Out To Jim Ivey    10-30-15
Dick Camnitz talked by phone to Jim Ivey today, known to many of us starting with WHOO-AM 990 and as Johnny Gee on WLOF-AM 950. He worked at Channel 9 as booth announcer in the early days as well and other stations in the state. Following his broadcast career, he started a company called Videx dealing in television systems and had several businesses all closely related to the broadcasting business. I'm sure many current and new members knew or knew of him.
Jim was diagnosed with Parkinson's about 4 years ago and it has given him some tough challenges for such an active guy. He asked for thoughts and prayers from his friends in Central Florida and we wish him only the best as he battles this disease.
