What are the real reasons behind the teacher shortage?         12-3-19   
Marc Bernier of WNDB-AM 1150/93.5 FM will explore this issue through various talking points in a community discussion with DSC’s top expert and district faculty about the state of education in the classroom. The program will take place at the News-Journal Center at Daytona State College, 221 N. Beach St. Doors open at 6PM. Program begins at 7PM and is free and open to the public.

WNDB-AM 1150/93.5 FM's Chuck Bennett has retired from radio after a 45 year radio career. 

Mike Harvey Hangs Up The Headphones        12-13-19
Nationally known Mike Harvey has announced that, after more than 35 years as host of his nightly Classic Hits program, "The Mike Harvey Show", and the "Saturday Weekend Party with Mike Harvey" on Westwood One, will be hanging up his headphones on December 31. Mike was heard on CFLRadio stations, including , WROD-AM 1340, WSHE-FM  weekday mornings on WEBG-FM 100.3

Rickey Smiley Returning To Orlando      12-13-19
Cox Media Group (CMG) has announced that REACH Media, Inc’s nationally syndicated Rickey Smiley Morning Show will replace “The Tom Joyner Morning Show” when Tom Joyner retires at the end of 2019. "The Rickey Smiley Morning Show" will air weekdays from 6AM to 10AM on WCFB-FM 94.5

"The Cats Roundtable" Coming To FMR      12-13-19
Florida Man Radio, WDYZ-AM 660/105.5 FM Orlando and WYGC-FM 104.9 High Springs/Gainesville/Ocala is adding John Catsimatidis' "The Cats Roundtable" show. The program premieres on Sunday December 8th

"Stan-A-Claus" Is Coming To Town      12-14-19
WYGM-AM 740/96.9 FM's "Open Mike" with Mike Bianchi will have a special guest on Wednesday, Dec. 18 from 7AM-9AM. Stan Van Gundy,   the NBA TV analyst and former Orlando Magic and Detroit Pistons coach will sport his Santa suit, encouraging listeners to drop by the iHeartMedia studios in Maitland to donate new unwrapped toys or cash for the Boys and Girls Clubs of Central Florida to benefit children in need.

Changes Coming To WNDB Mornings          12-14-19
WNDB-AM 1150/93.5 FM begins “This Morning with Gordon Deal” on Monday at 7AM. Marc Bernier will join Gordon’s show with local news and commentary daily beginning January 6th

Martie Salt Retires       12-16-19
Martie Salt has retired from WFTV-Channel 9 in Orlando. Martie worked at the ABC affiliate from 1981-1994, left for Tampa until 2003 when she returned to WFTV. Martie, began a radio career at WTAI-FM 107.1 as Martie Tucker.

Edgewater Broadcasting is selling translator W274BT at 102.7 to the University of Florida for $46,001.

Marc Bernier On Vacation      12-23-19
If you tune to WNDB-AM 1150/93.5 FM at 3PM and find "The Sean Hannity Show"  (who is also on vacation) don't worry. Marc Bernier will be returning on Mon., Jan. 6 to the morning news program as well as his afternoon time slot.
