New Facebook Group For WYRL and WMMB 8-7-18 This is a group dedicated to two sister radio stations that were in Melbourne Florida back in the late 70's and early 80's. WYRL-FM 102.3 played country hits and country classics and WMMB-AM 1240 was a top 40/Rock Station. It was a golden time in radio when live remotes were a big deal and DJ's were actually in the studio playing records. Check it out here. |

Mark Logas In For Bud 8-16-18 Mark Logas will be substituting for Bud Hedinger on Good Morning Orlando on WFLF-102.5-FM/AM540 on Thursday and Friday this week and also next Monday. Mark will share what it was like as he attempted to gain access to the Charlottesville Downtown Mall this past Sunday to spend money with local merchants on the 1st anniversary of the violent protests. He’ll also have an update on the new Civics Literacy Requirement for all AA and AS degree seeking students enrolled in Florida colleges. WPRK Returns 8-19-18 Rollins College station WPRK-FM 91.5 has returned to the air. Their tower was damaged by Hurricane Irma back in September of 2017. After WPRK found a new place for the antenna, a pair of nesting bald eagles made it their home. |
WYND Gets A New Owner 8-23-18 WYND-AM 1310 has been sold to Clarence A. Williams, CEO of Proclaim Media Group, LLC. Tucker’s wife, Co-owner/Vice President is selling the station. The reported sale price for the station and the translator is $235,000, plus a time brokerage agreement before the sale closes. |
Buddy Tucker Passes 8-23-18 We just leaned the owner of WYND-AM 1310, Buddy Tucker had passed away at age 90 in Mobile, Alabama in December of 2017. We have added his obituary In Memory. |

Newsman Alan Spector will be providing live updates throughout the evening along with FOX News Radio and FNN (Florida News Network). Governor George Allen will visit the "50,000 Watt Front Porch" to discuss the national political scene, Bishop E.W. Jackson will stop by to talk about Democrats losing Black voters and how minority groups are benefiting from President Trump's economic policies, and former Congressman and FL Attorney General Bill McCollum will share his insight into key state races and what President Trump might face if Democrats take the House of Representatives in November.
