CMG Hit By Ransomware     6-6-21
On Thursday morning Cox Media Group reportedly suffered a Ransomware hack. Stations in Central Florida whose streams are offline include WWKA-FM 92.3, WCFB-FM 94.5, , WPYO-FM 95.3, WOEX-FM 96.5 and WMMO-FM 98.9

Florida Man Leaves Gainesville      6-8-21
Thanks to Doug Clifford for letting us know that JVC Media has pulled "Florida Man Radio" (Orlando) simulcast from WYGC-FM 104.9 and is now simulcasting the Country and Rock format of WXUS-FM 102.3. JVC began the simulcast in November  of 2019.

New Contract For The Head Monster      6-16-21
iHeartMedia announced a contract extension for the leader of  WTKS-FM 104.1's "Monsters in the Morning", Russ Rollins.

Each year Talkers Magazine honors the "Heavy Hundred" talk show hosts. This year The Monsters came in at number 78.

Michael W. Lowe Subbing      6-26-21
Dave Poore, Station Manager of WSBH-FM 98.5, The Beach, has announced long time Lite Rock radio host Mike Lowe is filling in for 98.5 The Beach morning host Eric Young. Eric injured his hip recently and is undergoing rehab therapy. Catch Mike 6a to 10a weekdays.

Beginning tomorrow, Jun 21, Premiere Networks debuts the "The Clay Travis & Buck Sexton Show," on many of the former Rush Limbaugh stations. In Central Florida WFLF-AM 540/93.1FM in Orlando and WMMB-AM 1240 will carry the program.
