Bernier To Moderate “Left To Right: After The Election”      11-3-16
Tuesday, America chooses a new President,  plus US Congress and Senate members.   How will this election impact the future direction of the nation?  We will have the definitive last word on the vote here on campus in the ERAU Speaker Series with “Left To Right: After The Election” with Ellen Ratner and John LeBoutillier , both from  Fox News Channel. The analysis to be conducted Wednesday night November 9th from 7PM-8:30PM,  will be moderated by WNDB-AM 1150/93.5-FM's Marc Bernier in the Gale Lemerand Auditorium in the Capt. Willie Miller Building. The event is free and open to students and the general public.  Doors will open at 6. Overflow rooms will be provided, and signage will direct visitors to parking.

"LA X 1460" Adds Translator       11-3-16
Florida Broadcasting Media is set to purchase translator W259CC at 99.7FM from Black Media Works for $65,000. Florida Broadcasting will rebroadcast WQXM-AM 1460 which broadcasts a Spanish Variety format. 


Ed Dean Adds New Radio Markets         11-4-16
Statewide political radio talk-show host focused on Florida politics, Ed Dean,  a senior editor with Sunshine State News, is expanding his reach starting Monday. Dean will host the morning show with Salem Radio Network-related AM and FM talk stations across Florida and in other markets. Dean will be recording live in Jacksonville where his show will run from 7AM to 9AM.  He will also continue hosting his show focusing on Florida politics, aired across the state, and his work with Sunshine State News. 


Election Night Coverage          11-4-16
Mark Logas
and Alan Spector will be bringing analysis and complete election results to listeners on “Decision 2016: The General Election”, Tuesday between 6:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m., on WFLF-AM 540/102.5-FM. Mark’s guests throughout the evening will include former Congressman Cliff Stearns, Bishop E.W. Jackson, and former FL Attorney General Bill McCollum. Bud Hedinger from "Good Morning Orlando" will also be dropping by the “50,000 Watt Front Porch” to share his analysis and preview Wednesday morning’s show.

WDBO Makes The Call        11-10-16
WDBO-FM 96.5 made an amazing early call on the winner during Tuesday night's election coverage. Program Director Drew Anderssen says his 
“Our in-house statistician"  watched the returns county-by-county without relying on the national media outlets. They went on the air at midnight and declared Trump the winner, minutes before the Associated Press. 

WQXM Gains Translator     11-14-16
Florida Broadcasting Media is purchasing a translator from Black Media Works for $65,000. The translator, W259CC at 103.9, will rebroadcast WQXM-AM 1460

WMEL On The Move     11-18-16
Thanks to Jeff Poor for letting us know "The Talk To Me Station" has changed frequencies once again. This time the WMEL-AM call letters and programming has moved from 1060 AM to the 1510 frequency, WWBC. Along with the move they pick up three translators. 

WMMB Gains FM Translator      11-20-16  
Thanks to Keith Willis, for letting us know that WMMB-AM 1240/1350 has added an FM signal in Melbourne. The frequency is 93.1.    

It's Beginning To Sound A Lot like Christmas       11-20-16  
WLOV-FM 99.5 is playing Christmas Music through December 25th.

Returning Voice To Daytona's Morning News      11-21-16
After his unsuccessful run for a seat on the Volusia County Council, Al Smith has rejoined WNDB-AM 1150/93.5 FM's morning news show, with Dave Laing and Just Plain John (John Barrett).

More Christmas Music     11-23-16
WMGF-FM 106.7 has joined the all holiday music brigade. WPOZ-FM 88.3 will air Christmas music beginning on Friday.

Happy birthday to Central Florida's dean of talk radio, WTKS-FM 104.1's,  Jim Philips turns 69 on Friday.  "Tuddle" (Patrick Fowler) former WTKS Monster member turns 37 on Saturday.

WXXL-FM 106.7's morning co-host, Johnny Magic turns 53 tomorrow. WNDB-AM 1150 afternoon talk host of 25 years, Marc Bernier celebrates number 61 on Wednesday. 

Herman Cain Ends National Syndication    11-28-16
The Herman Cain show will end national syndication at the end of the year. Cain's program will continue on Cox Media Group stations, in Atlanta, Orlando's WDBO-FM 96.5, as well as Tulsa, Jacksonville and Ohio.

More Holiday Music           11-29-16
WGMW-FM 99.5/WGMA-FM 99.7 and WLRQ-FM 99.3 have joined the stations playing holiday music.

WPUL Returning To Daytona Beach    11-30-16      
Glenn Cherry is about to revive the licensed and silent WPUL-AM 1590. Dr. Cherry is paying $25,000 for the license held by the Julia T. Cherry Revocable Living Trust. PSI Communications, LLC had sold the station to the trust in 2015. Cherry had a 45% interest in Psi Communications, Inc.  which was sold to the trust to resolve debt.
