Free Jingle Jam Country Christmas Concert 12-3-18 WOTW-FM 103.1, "103.1 The Wolf"-Orlando’s New Country and All-Time Favorites invites you to a FREE Country Christmas concert, dubbed Jingle Jam, this Saturday December 8th on Church Street in Downtown Orlando! This FREE all ages event stars CMA and ACM Award Winners Thompson Square, with Smithfield, Brown and Gray, and many other acts! Jingle Jam is presented by Bud Light and the Downtown Development Board and benefits Fisher House of Orlando. The Wolf’s Jingle Jam, with a stage directly on Church Street located on the corner of Church and Garland Avenue in the Church Street District, kicks off at 4pm with FREE music all afternoon and is open to all ages. Harry Buffalo and Hamburger Mary’s will have drinks available for purchase on the street and food service available in Church Street District restaurants. Exclusive raffle prizes like autographed guitars and concert tickets will be available which benefits Veterans and their families at Fisher House of Orlando. |

Sold: WLOV-FM 12-11-18 Southern Broadcasting of Pensacola, Inc. (based in Athens, GA) is purchasing WLOV-FM 99.5 in Daytona Beach Shores. Susan Hall has been the licensee since 2012. A price of $450,000, has been agreed upon with $200,000 in construction costs to be paid by Stone and debt forgiveness is also tied to the agreement. A subsidiary of Stone's group, Southern Stone Communications of Florida, LLC has been running the station under an LMA. |
WTKS To Broadcast Orlando Apollos Football 12-12-18 iHeart Media has announced the new Orlando Apollos football games will be broadcast on WTKS-FM 104.1. The Apollos are part of the newly formed Alliance of American Football. WKMG-TV 6 Sports Director Jamie Seh will handle the play-by-play and will she will also host the team's weekly radio show "The Orlando Apollos Coach’s Show" with Head Coach Steve Spurrier, Thursdays at 7PM on WYGM-AM 740/96.9 FM. |

Dave Robbins Passes 12-19-18 Dave Robbins died on Dec 17 at the age of 59. Dave Robbins is was Head of Programming for Nationwide Communications from 1988 until 1995. At the time he helped flip "BJ105" (WBJW-FM 105.1) to "Mix 105.1" (WOMX-FM 105.1). Dave returned to Orlando in 2010 as Senior Vice President and Market Manager for the company's three stations in Orland and oversaw WOMX-FM 105.1, WJHM-FM 101.9 and WOCL-FM 105.9. He retired in 2015 to run a vacation rental business in Orlando. Radio ink is reporting "Robbins had a hereditary heart condition and suffered a massive heart attack at his home in Orlando."
