Logas Anchoring GOP Debate Night Shows 11-9-15 Mark Logas will be anchoring two debate night shows Tuesday evening on WFLF-AM 540/102.5-FM. The first show will air between 6:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. and the second show will air between 8:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. The phone lines will be open for listeners to weigh in with their opinions about the debates and what they believe their favorite candidate needs to do in order to win the road to the White House. Phyllis Schlafly and Governor George Allen will join Mark live during the 6 o'clock show and Congressman Dan Webster and Bishop E.W. Jackson will join Mark live during the 8 o'clock show. In addition, Bud Hedinger and Michael Yaffee will have live cut-ins from the Debate Viewing Party at Doc's Streetside Grille. |

Sutton Camping Out 11-10-15 Since Oct 26, Kevin Sutton of WYGM-AM 740/FM 96.9 "The Game", has been camping outside a Best Buy in Orlando to raise awareness on homelessness. While raising awareness of homelessness, Sutton also wants to break the world record for the longest camp out. The last record was set by two California women who camped out for 22 days. He's also collecting toys and gifts that will be given to children during the holiday season. |

Tony Zazza Helps Families In Need 11-20-15 WAOA-FM 107.1 morning show co-host Tony Zazza, founder and President for The Zazza Community Foundation, has teamed up with the station, Elite Airways and Orlando/Melbourne International Airport to launch Jingle Jet 2015 to the North Pole, Monday, December 14th. Jingle Jet aims to help local families who have been met with undue hardships throughout the year. The families will board an Elite Airways CRJ aircraft, with non-stop service to Santa's North Pole. After a quick flight around the skies of the Space Coast, Jingle Jet will return to the airport where upon arrival, the families will enter a designated area that has been transformed into a winter wonderland, complete with Santa and Mrs. Claus, face painters, snowmen, balloon artists and more. Each family will also be presented with their own Christmas tree, gifts and holiday trimmings. Zazza first created and produced the project in Dallas, for a number of years and his goal was to have it take flight again upon his arrival in the Space Coast. |
James "Country Jim" Passes 11-21-15 Thanks to Marc Tyll for letting us know the former owner of WMOP-AM 900 and WFUZ-FM 93.7, "Country Jim Kirk" died on Wednesday. He was 88. Visitation will be held at Hiers Baxley Funeral Home in Ocala from 4-6 pm Sunday November 22, 2015. A memorial service will be held at First Presbyterian Church of Ocala at 2 pm Monday November 23, 2015 with a reception following in the Fellowship Hall. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to The Ocala Camp Kiwanis Foundation, PO Box 682, Ocala, FL 34478 or the Jim Kirk Professorship in Communications via the FSU Foundation (fund FO1727) 2010 Levy Avenue Building B, Suite 300, Tallahassee, FL 32310.
