Frank Vaught Passes 12-4-11
Frank Vaught, 81, passed in Winter Park on Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2011, after a long battle of post esophageal cancer complications. Frank was a TV sportscaster for channels 2 and channel 6 in Orlando. Frank also worked at WKIS-AM 740, WHOO-AM 990, WMMA-AM 990, the Gator Football network games and WHTQ-FM 96.5.

Melony Torres Returns 12-9-11
Melony Torres will return to Orlando after a stint as Music Director and night-time personality at CBS owned WSJT-FM 98.7 in Tampa. She will join WJHM-FM 101.9 as Music Director/Mid-day host.

Brody Bids Adieu 12-9-11
Brody (Nate Halegua) has left the afternoon shift at WXXL-FM 106.7. No replacement has been named yet.

After settling with creditors, Daytona Beach based Black Crow Media has voluntarily transferred their licenses to Southern Stone Communications, LLC. The stations include; WNDB-AM 1150, WKRO-FM 93.1, WHOG-FM 95.7 and WVYB-FM 103.3.

WAMT To Drop ESPN Deportes 12-26-11
WAMT-AM 1190 has been stunting for the past week or so. Looks like the format will be News and Talk, similar to WWBA-AM 820 in Largo.
