The duration of their stay has not been determined. The show, based in Dallas, Texas, is being moved into new studios in Dallas, but the facility will not be ready in time for their first show of 2011. WHHZ PD Russ Allen told All Access; "100.5 The Buzz is excited to be able to further strengthen our partnership with Lex and Terry. They’ve dominated morning radio in the Gainesville-Ocala market for years, and now while their new studios are finished we have the unique opportunity of having them do their show live from our Gainesville studios. Our Engineer, Randy Mills, has worked hard to make this broadcast possible so that the other Lex and Terry affiliates continue to receive the show as if they were still in Dallas. Our sales team is excited about setting up some meet and greets with clients that we hope will lead to the addition of some new business on our station in the ultra competitive morning drive slot. We are thrilled to have Lex and Terry on 100.5 The Buzz". The Best Of Lex and Terry will air starting Monday, December 20th and continue until the New Year. |

WNZF And WBHQ Make Improvements 12-18-10 Signal improvements for both the WNZF-FM 106.3 and WBHQ-FM 92.7 have been approved by the Federal Communications Commission and have been implemented today, according the station's Vice President and General Manager, David Ayres. The FM signal has been improved by moving the antenna higher, using a higher microwave path link from the WNZF studios, and placing a new antenna closer to the county's population center. Ayres said, "The new FM signal now delivers a sound significantly improved and achieved without building a new tower. By working with SBA Tower Company we have been able use their existing structure without impacting the environment or ascetics of our sensitive area." “The new antenna site is on U.S. 1 just south of Palm Coast Parkway and is equipped with a generator for emergencies,” Ayres continued. The AM on 1550 kilohertz has just increased its daytime power by 26% to 11,000 watts. This increase enables WNZF to extend its "protected contour" over Daytona Beach, Saint Augustine, and Palatka. More significantly, Ayres asserts, is better reception for listeners here in Flagler. The AM facility also has an emergency generator on site. |
