Rock100DIZ.com and Mick Dolan On Mark Samansky    4-4-11
We are sad to report news today out of Denver, Colorado that Mark Samansky of the "The Baxter and Mark Morning Show" that was heard in Orlando, Fl. on "Rock 100" WDIZ-FM 100.3 from 1983 to 1991 has passed away. It was reported by All Access that Mark Samansky was fighting for his life following a stroke and cerebral aneurysm on 4/2/11. Mick Dolan former long time promotions director of "Rock 100 WDIZ" and current on air personality with www.Rock100DIZ.com stated that Mark was one of the original Orlando "crazy" radio personalities that were around before the term “Shock Jock” was coined.
According to Mick, “Mark knew the wrong thing to say, at the right time”.  Many current Orlando radio personalities owe Baxter and Mark a lot as the originators of some of what you hear in Orlando radio…good and bad!  Baxter and Mark were with the WDIZ several years in Orlando hosting events at the old Fern Park Station (also known as "The Caboose") and emceeing concerts with their Baxter and Mark Band as well as hosting charity events and movie nights on TV35 (the current Fox 35). Bigdawg (AKA Carl Graddy) of the current www.Rock100DIZ.com morning show confirmed with the Denver Coroner Office and St. Anthony’s Central Hospital that Mark Samansky passed away on April 3rd at 6:24 Mountain time. Mick Dolan is available to all broadcast outlets for comment on the passing of Mark Samansky. Please contact www.Rock100DIZ.com at Phone: 1-407-304-0488. Services at this time are still not announced.
