WWKA Looking To Help Ronald McDonald House   2-1-11
With all the hype about Ted Williams (the Homeless Man With 'Golden Voice'), it seems that everyone wants to make money off of his 15 minutes of fame. Now his former "roommate" is selling his tent and cardboard signs on eBay. The K92FM Morning Krew at WWKA-FM 92.3 have a better idea. Henry Hays from has made his own sign to sell. The sign is an original work on slightly weathered cardboard, written in red sharpie (highlighted in blue).  The sign reads: "Radio Announcer trying to sell my sign for more than Ted Williams roommate.  Please HELP."  100% of the proceeds from this auction will go directly to the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Florida. You will also get a crisp, new, freshly folded K92FM T-Shirt. " 'It was in bad taste,' " he quoted the sales rep as saying.  See the billboard here.
