"Retirement Radio" Comes To Goliath Radio 2-11-11 David Holland, a certified financial planner who owns Holland Financial in Ormond Beach, is joining WELE-AM 1380 as the host of "Retirement Radio" which airs on Fridays from 2PM-3PM. Holland told the Daytona Beach News-Journal that the program will be wide-ranging, covering everything from politics and the stock market to scams-how to spot them and what to do if you become the victim of one. Holland will have interviews with guest experts and a call-in segment. |
Locals Make Talkers Magazine 250 2-11-11 Talkers Magazine has published their annual list of the "250 Most Important Talk Show Hosts In America". Included on this years list include Central Florida hosts. WTKS-FM 104.1's Russ Rollins and the Monsters and Jim Philips in the "Heavy Hundred". New City Of License 2-24-11 WNUE-FM 98.1 has changed its city of license from Titusville to Deltona. The move to Deltona, will give "Jose FM" better signal penetration into Orlando and they hope to capture Hispanic listeners in the Deltona area and in Volusia county's northwest areas of Pierson, DeLeon Springs and Seville. Offices and studios are based in Altamonte Springs. |
Comments Cost Guetzloe 2-24-11 An Orange County jury found that Doug Guetzloe defamed a Winter Garden man and ordered him to pay $1.61 million in damages. Guetzloe was last heard on WEUS-AM 810 in 2010. |

WINT-AM Knocked Off The Air 2-25-11 WINT-AM 1560 has been forced off the air by copper thieves. Almost all of the copper was stripped from the transmitter facility. Cumulus Broadcasting has no idea how long it will take to restore service. The police investigation is ongoing. |

Greg Blosé Returns 2-26-11 It's the dawn of a new morning show on WNDB-AM 1150 Monday. Greg Blosé will become the host of the "new" morning show. The format will be "breaking news and information-oriented," according to a Black Crow press release. Roland Via will continue as a co-host as will Al Smith. Dave Laing will remain the show's producer. |
