Steve Harvey Returns To Orlando 1-4-15 Cox Media Group has announced WCFB-FM 94.5 will become the 75th affiliate of The Steve Harvey Morning show. "We are thrilled to have "The Steve Harvey Morning Show" join STAR 94.5,” shared WCFB-FM Program Director Michael Saunders. “Listeners are excited and our clients are eager for his return to the Orlando market. We’re looking forward to an incredible partnership in 2015 and beyond.” The program airs Monday through Saturday, 6AM to 10AM. |

DJ Nailz Is On The Move 1-7-15 Cox Media Group (CMG) Miami has named radio personality DJ Nailz as its new evening on-air host for WEDR-FM 99.1, "99 Jamz". DJ Nailz (Marc Dixon) is no stranger to South Florida, as he grew up there and has family in the city. A Bethune-Cookman University graduate, where he also worked as Program Director, at the college station, WRWS-FM 99.1. DJ Nailz moves to CMG Miami from sister station WPYO-FM 95.3 in Orlando where he has worked the past five years. |
Mike Taylor Retires...Once Again 1-7-15 With a career that spanned 43 years, Mike Taylor, who came out of retirement last year to anchor the morning show on sports formatted WYKE-FM 104.3, has announced his retirement. Mike was also the founding Program Director at WSKY-FM 97.3. |

Bud Paxson Passes At 80 1-11-15 Lowell "Bud" Paxson has died at 80 years of age. He was best known as a co-founder of Home Shopping Network, but in the 1990's his Paxson Broadcasting of Orlando owned five Orlando area stations. Those included WWNZ-AM 740, WWZN-AM 540WWZN-AM 540, WJRR-FM 101.1, WWZN-AM 1440, WHVE/WVRI/WWNZ/WTKS-FM 104.1 and WMGF-FM 107.7. Paxson also was responsible for The Florida Radio Network. |

WNDB Producer Arrested 1-29-15 Chand Worob, producer at WNDB-AM 1150/FM 93.5 Daytona Beach, has been arrested by Daytona Beach Police. They arrested Worob age 25, at his the station. Police said they found 500 images of child pornography on his laptop. They said they were investigating him since October and served a search warrant on his house on Wednesday. |

Lee "Baby" Simms Passes 1-29-15 Lee "Baby" Simms has passed away at the age of 72. Lee spent a very short time at WLOF-AM 950 in 1964. According to Jim Maloy at RadioYears.com Simms was let go after a practical joke he played on listeners that got him fired. |
